SSM College of Engineering, the sole institution from Jammu and Kashmir with active ISTE membership, participated in the 54th National Annual Convention of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).
The two-day event was hosted at Lamrin Tech Skill University (LTSU), Punjab, on February 13-14, under the theme “Vision 2047: Transforming the Education System for Making India the Skill Capital of the World.”
A statement said that the convention drew over 5,000 participants, including Vice-Chancellors, faculty members, and students from across India. Distinguished guests included Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria as Chief Guest, and Punjab’s Cabinet Minister for Technical Education, Harjot Singh Bains, who presided over the event.
Other notable attendees were Dr Vinod K. Paul, NITI Aayog member; Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC; Prof. T.G. Sitharam, AICTE Chairman; and Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of NAAC’s Executive Committee
