SSM College of Engineering extends its heartfelt gratitude to Mr. A.Q. Beigh, former Manager of Union Bank of India, and his son, Mr. Irfan Beigh, for their remarkable contribution to our institution. Mr. Irfan Beigh, an alumnus of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar, where he pursued his B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, is currently serving in Canada. Despite his professional commitments abroad, Mr. Irfan Beigh has shown a deep connection to his roots and a strong commitment to giving back to the academic community that helped shape his career.
Understanding the importance of knowledge sharing, Mr. Irfan Beigh has graciously decided to donate a valuable collection of 59 books to SSM College of Engineering. This decision was made with the encouragement of his father, Mr. A.Q. Beigh, who facilitated the donation. The books, which were donated on Wednesday, 21st August 2024, are a precious addition to our institution's library and will undoubtedly serve as a valuable resource for our students and faculty.
As the President of the Alumni Association, I, Prof. (Dr.) N.A. Shah, take great pride in this noble gesture by Mr. Irfan Beigh. I hope that this act of generosity will inspire other alumni of SSM College of Engineering, who are serving in various capacities both within the country and abroad, to consider similar contributions to support the ongoing growth and development of our institution.
