Smart India Hackathon 2017 will be acomputer programming competition which will involve all Engineering collegeswith a reach to approximately 30 Lakh students from across India. We plan to challenge thestudents to think out-of-the-box and offer innovative ideas to build smartapplications which will help address major real time problems in our country.
Theparticipating teams will simultaneously compete from across 33 locations inIndia to offer digital yet sustainable innovative solutions to solve real timechallenges faced by the nation. It will harness the creativity of millions ofbright young minds like you

-Intellectual property (IP) of the ideawould belong to the college/institute and the team members jointly. However,team members will make their product available for free for the governmentinstitution for which they are working.
Selected ideas need to be furtherdeveloped so that they can be productized before the government institution(s)will be able to utilize it; more efforts beyond the finale are required fromthe selected teams thereafter.
