Inauguration Ceremony of ISTE for Students and Faculty Chapter at SSM College of Engineering college touched its new vista of promotional and developmental objectives to a new leaf :

SSM College of Engineering touched its new vista of promotional and developmental objectives to a new leaf of its cherished mission by shaking hands of collaboration with the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) by o“Inauguration Ceremony of ISTE for Students and Faculty Chapter “at SSM College

 

SSM College of Engineering touched its new vista of promotional and developmental objectives to a new leaf of its cherished mission by shaking hands of collaboration with the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) by opening up the Faculty Chapter and the Students Chapter at the grand event celebrated today in the College Campus. In an impressive function, the event started with College TARANA at SSM College of Engineering Diver Parihaspora. The guests were welcomed by the College Principal Prof. (Dr.) N.A. Shah. 

Prof. Pratapsinh Kakaso Desai, President of ISTE, in association with Prof. A.P. Mittal, Member Secretary AICTE, Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu, Dean (Planning & Development) Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University and Prof. Rakesh Sehgal Director NIT Srinagar inaugurated the Students and Faculty Chapter.

 

Prof. Pratapsinh Kakaso Desai expressed pleasure in bringing such promising Institute of Engineering and Technology under the ambit of ISTE which would prove auspicious not only for the Institute but for the entire J&K State. He stated that SSM is the first and only technical Institute from J&K to get collaborated with ISTE.

 

Prof. A.P. Mittal, Member Secretary, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) extended congratulation to the Institute for joining the family of ISTE. He expressed hope that with this move the Institute would be able to get a suitable platform for interaction in the field of knowledge and training in engineering with rest of the world. 

 

Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu, Dean (Planning & Development) Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University also welcomed the Institute for joining ISTE to carry forward its mission of promoting technical education with collaboration and calibration.  

 

Dr. Rakesh Sehgal, Director NIT Srinagar, while extending congratulations to the Institute for joining ISTE, stated that it is matter of honour and pleasure for him that the Government has assigned NIT Srinagar to play the role of mentor for SSM College of Engineering. 

 

Prof. (Dr.) MRD Kundangar (Civil Engineering) made technical presentation on House Boat sanitation in Dal Lake. The presentation was very interesting and of immense significance with regard to ecology and health of Dal Lake.
